Advancing Knowledge to Support Forests and Livelihoods Worldwide

The FLARE Network seeks to advance knowledge at the intersection of forests and livelihoods and facilitate its application to policy and practice. FLARE is a vibrant international community of scholars, students, and professionals from a range of environmental and social NGOs, development agencies, donors, and research organizations.

The Network leverages existing expertise and catalyzes new efforts to develop and share leading-edge research and conversations on livelihoods related to forests and tree-based systems. In so doing, FLARE seeks to support policy development, on-the-ground action, and learning that furthers environment, development, and equity goals in countries across the globe.

FLARE 2022 – Rome

The FLARE Secretariat together with the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame is excited to host the FLARE 8th Annual Meeting in Rome, Italy. We look forward to gathering again in person as well as online to share, discuss, and build connections around leading-edge research and developments on forests and livelihoods issues around the world.
